Joe Foster is a British entrepreneur and co-founder of the global sports brand Reebok who will share his experience as a speaker at the “World Changers Summit 2023”.
Joe joined the family business J.W. Foster & Sons in 1952 but left the company a year later to complete National Service.
In 1958, Joe and his brother Jeff set up their own business, Rebook. In 1979, Joe attended the NSGA (National Sporting Goods of America) Show in Chicago, where he met American businessman Paul Fireman. He later teamed up with Fireman to proceed to license and distribute the company in the USA. This collaboration was instrumental in turning Reebok into a leading athletic apparel company.
Under Foster’s leadership, Reebok became one of the most successful sports brands in the world. He was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 1987 for his services to the sports industry, and in 2012, he was inducted into the Sporting Goods Industry Hall of Fame.
Foster remained involved with the company until his retirement but continued to be a figurehead for the brand, making public appearances and attending Reebok events.
Throughout his career, Foster was known for his innovative approach to athletic footwear design and his dedication to creating high-quality products. He played a key role in the success of Reebok, helping to turn the brand into a household name and a major player in the sports industry. Joe continues to speak about his career at various corporate events.
The “World Changers Summit 2023”, will be held on July 5th at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences in Vatican City.
